Updated pictures of the garden coming soon! Lycia and I smashed my phone. Gradually overtime the repeated dropping has finally taken its toll, and I can't get them until I get a new one. Peppers are booming. Tomatoes are coming on strong. Beans have to be harvested every day. Trellises are looking full and FABULOUS! We are Blessed.

The Hoop Coop is almost complete!
Some of our hot peppers and sweet peppers are maturing nicely.
We have had a salad with garden fresh Sungolds and Super Sweet 100s.
Chocolate Trinidad Scorpion is putting on quite a few flowers. I will be saving seeds for our store!
Amish Paste tomatoes are throwing on some decent sets even with all the rain. I will be covering some flowers to manually pollinate and save seeds from them, also. Amish Paste is a more difficult variety, but they are so sweet I can't not grow them.
The Black Beauty Tomatoes are looking great, also. I can't wait to try them for the first time! They have done really well, so far. There is a high possibility of them being in our store soon. I really enjoy the different colors from the anthocyanin flavonoid in the skin, as well as the scientifically proven health benefits.
It is a swamp around here. Raised beds were a great idea.
Our former landlord of about 6 years for me and close to 8 years for Justin gave me some cloves of garlic that he called "Old Garlic."

Main Garden in Progress
The "deer fence" needs to be taken the rest of the way down, and the posts need to be moved to include the entire garden. We might wait until next year for that.
I'm not sure if I want to keep the muscadine vines. We don't drink very much and all prefer other jellies. I do not know of anything else to do with them and have not had time to research.
We will be getting at least one more trellis for my Mexican Sour Gherkins that are already trying to run out of the beds. I will most likely get the last 2 trellises for the colored beds next year.
We will be adding 2 more of the posts with 3 more rods for the last 3 lower and lean beds.
We may add another pepper table next year. One is good for this year. We have a lot going on. the "table" holds twelve 5-gallon buckets with one pepper plant each. The second table will possibly be half peppers (6) and half (6) eggplant next year.
The covered bed is from the plans off of James Prigioni's YouTube Channel. We will be modifying to better suite us and adding at least one more.
The silver raised bed will be Lycia's garden next year. This year she just likes pulling weeds...even if they aren't weeds :-p

Collecting coriander from the cilantro that bolted. I like to let them dry on the plant, so I use these little gift bags to collect the seeds for me when they drop.
4 cucumber varieties ready to grow up a string in the lower and lean method. It worked great last year. From top to bottom:
2 Armenian Yard Long, Lemon, Merlin, and Socrates.
This will be the 4th year to try the Armenian Yard Long variety. If I don't have any luck this year, I am going to give the seeds away and give up! :-D

10 tomato varieties total to be grown up the lower and lean system interplanted with basil, nasturtium, and marigolds. these are a bit smaller than the plants we have on the lower and lean system in growbags because they were started later.

Peppers, Peppers, Peppers!!
They are growing beautifully!
Left to right, top to bottom:
Black Prince (Sweet), Thai Hot Chile, Either Fireworks or Pretty and sweet (both are sweet, and they look too similar for me to tell, labels got mixed), Buena Mulatta (Hot), and a Mini Bell Pepper Variety.

Back Patio Garden
This is a "work in progress." The hoop coop is almost finished. The tarp for the cover came in today. After we finish assembling the roof on the nesting box, wheel system to be able to move it, and add the tarp we will be ready for our 4 laying hens and 2 female ducks (Granny and Lycia have decided they need ducks).
The lower and lean tomatoes are setting some really amazing sets. Pictures show the Sungold F1 Cherry and Black Beauty tomato sets.

The Move That Started It All
We combined household with my Granny. She moved from Montgomery, Texas, and we moved from Olive Branch, MS to Batesville, MS. It was a very nice and welcomed change from both of our previous locations. We are loving the neighborhood and the peace that comes a little farther from the city.
1st picture= Granny's water is always better.
